Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers Live

The Bears (5-11 in 2017) entered the 2018 with expectations of being an improved team. That was before THE TRADE. The trade to acquire Mack has sent expectations skyrocketing. Mack joins a young unit that ranked 10th overall and ninth in scoring defense.

The Bears look for quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to also improve. He has been given some extra weapons such as wide receivers Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel, tight end Trey Burton and speedy rookie receiver Anthony Miller.

The Packers (7-9 in 2017) missed the playoffs last season, snapping a streak of eight consecutive playoff berths. The down year was a direct result of quarterback Aaron Rodgers missing nine games with a broken collarbone. Rodgers, armed with a new four-year, $134 million contract extension, is healthy. However, he could use some help from the running game, which ranked 17th in the league in 2017.

The Green Bay Packers will try to continue their recent success against the Chicago Bears in the season opener for both on ‘Sunday Night Football.’ The game is set for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC (live streaming available through FuboTV, NBC Sports).

Green Bay has beaten their NFC North rival Chicago 13 times in their last 15 meetings, including winning all four games in 2016-17 combined.

Aaron Rodgers has a pair of new tight ends at his disposal in the red zone after Jimmy Graham and Marcedes Lewis signed with the Packers as free agents. How much Rodgers will have to deal with Khalil Mack‘s pass rush remains to be seen.
